In 2007, she starred in the Romanian film 4 luni 3 semaines si 2 zile (4 months, 3 weeks and 2 days) produced by Cristian Mungiu. It received the Palme d'Or at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival and two other prizes (the Cinema Prize of the French National Education System and the FIPRESCI award). In addition, she appeared as an infant in Francis Ford Coppola's Youth Without Youth. She portrayed Yasim Awar on BBC's five-episode The Last Enemy miniseries.
